Hire Fitness started in 2001 in Berkshire, England. The founder, Paul Healey started the company after finding it difficult to buy any good quality fitness equipment that wasn't prohibitively expensive. He also found that hiring fitness equipment wasn't an option either so he quickly filled the gap in the market and the first Hire Fitness office was opened, in Windsor, Berkshire.
Hire Fitness Ireland was founded in 2008 by husband and wife team Paul and Theresa Sweetnam. Following the birth of their first child, Theresa wanted to get back in shape but the cost and availability of quality gym membership and time constraints associated with a small baby meant that finding an exercise solution was extremely difficult. At this time Paul was looking for a new business challenge, having worked in farm management for the previous 8 years. Realising the gap in the market for the provision of quality home use gym equipment for rental in the Irish market, Paul decided to approach Hire Fitness and bring the concept to Ireland. Having undergone training and adapting the business model for the Irish market Hire Fitness Ireland was officially launched in 2009 and has become the market leader in the intervening years.
Hire Fitness Ireland have a comprehensive range of high end fitness equipment available for both short and long term hires. The range includes treadmills, exercise bikes, cross trainers, rowing machines and vibration plates. Hire Fitness Ireland also specialise in hiring commercial grade fitness equipment to leisure centres, gyms, schools and universities and hotels. It is even possible to hire for short term events such as film shoots, charity events, summer fairs etc where fitness equipment is only needed for a day or two. The equipment is repaired, serviced and maintained in-house by specialist our engineers. We pride ourselves in customer care and flexibility with such features as out of hours deliveries, our price match promise and options to buy equipment, ensuring that our customers get the best care and service possible.
