Although many of us have recognized the importance of staying as fit as possible, it can be difficult to find time to visit a gym on a regular basis. This is one of the reasons why offices and companies are beginning to lease gym equipment in Ireland, to set up their very own fitness local at the workplace. There are many advantages to having a gym set up within the office, most prominently, the time-saving factor. Often employees will be thrilled to have the opportunity to keep fit during their break and lunch times at work. It means that they will no longer have to get up at the crack of dawn in order to race to a local gym for a workout before getting to the office, and they don’t need to run off the minute the day ends, either. This allows employees to build a more structured routine for themselves that could allow them to be fitter, more energetic and more productive within the workplace.  However, deciding which fitness machines are the right ones to get can be an essential part of successfully installing a gym within the workplace.

The cost of setting up a gym at the office

The amount that you can expect to pay for setting up your own fitness area within the office will depend largely on the number of people you have on your pay roll and the kind of equipment that you want to install. First of all, hiring the equipment instead of buying it outright can be a fantastic way to ensure that you don’t have to shell out hefty fees straight away. You can introduce the equipment this way and see how much use it gets, what you need more or less of, and then arrange your office gym according to what suits your specific requirements.

Another factor that may determine the cost is how much space you have to work with. For example, if it’s just you and a couple of high-up employees using the gym space on a regular basis, then the chances are you won’t need to spend a great deal. However, if you have forty or fifty employees attempting to workout in a cramped, small space, you’re going to end up with a problem.

Hiring the right equipment

The great thing about hiring is that you get the professional machines without having to pay insane prices. It will be up to you to decide what your office will benefit from most, but usually, many people won’t need massively expensive tools, just enough to help them get a good, healthy workout whenever they have the opportunity. Usually, treadmills and exercise bikes will be a good idea, and other items that you may include are things such as rowing machines, vibration plates, and elliptical trainers. See what your workers would like to have around at the office before you order things in, and then pay attention to how much each machine is used. You can always swap and change if you feel the need to do so.
